Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 15.10.2026 · Last updated: 15.10.2026
01Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PhotoShr ("the Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform: professional photographers ("Photographers"), the colleagues they add to their studio ("Team Members"), and the people they share galleries with ("Clients"). All of them are collectively referred to as "Users".
How you agree depends on how you arrive:
- Photographers confirm, before they start using their studio, that they are at least 16 years old and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. This applies whether the account was created with an email address or with Google.
- Team Members, and Clients who create an account from an invitation, tick the same confirmation when they accept the invitation.
- Visitors who open a gallery with a passcode or a public link are shown a notice in the gallery that these Terms and the Privacy Policy apply.
02Definitions & the Service
- PhotoShr / Platform / Service — the web-based application available at photoshr.com, operated by Nagy Attila Mátyás E.V.
- Photographer (studio owner) — a registered user who owns a studio account, uploads, manages and shares photo galleries, and holds the subscription.
- Team Member — a person a Photographer on the Agency plan has invited to work in their studio.
- Client — a person who opens a gallery shared by a Photographer, with or without a PhotoShr account.
- Gallery — a collection of photos uploaded by a Photographer and shared with one or more Clients. A gallery can be used for proofing (Clients pick photos) and for delivery (Clients receive the final files).
- Selection — the photos a Client marks as favourites in a gallery and submits to the Photographer.
- Delivery — the final files a Photographer makes available to Clients, as individual photos and as a ZIP archive, on a delivery page.
- Content — any photos, images, text, or other material uploaded or submitted to the Platform.
What the Service includes
Depending on the plan (see Section 4), the Service includes:
- Uploading photos into galleries, with an optional watermark applied to proofs.
- Sharing galleries by passcode, by invitation only, or by public link, with optional link expiry and passcode rotation.
- Client picks: Clients mark favourites, submit their selection, and the Photographer reviews and exports it.
- Delivery of final files, including a ZIP download and a delivery page.
- Studio branding: logo and watermark on all plans; brand colours, a branded delivery page and a studio subdomain with a landing page on Studio and Agency; and white-label client pages on Agency.
- Client records (the Photographer's own notes, phone numbers and tags about their Clients) and engagement insights (which Clients viewed, picked and downloaded) on Studio and Agency.
- Team Members on Agency.
- Paid storage add-ons on Studio and Agency.
- A "Download all my photos" archive of everything the Photographer has uploaded.
- Service emails, including onboarding and trial emails described in Section 4.
03Accounts & Sign-in
Photographers
Photographers must create an account to use the Platform, either with an email address and password or with their Google account (including Google One Tap, which is offered only after you allow it in the cookie settings). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated, including the billing details used on your invoices.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are liable for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by your Team Members.
Team Members
On the Agency plan, the studio owner may invite up to 5 Team Members to work in the studio. Only the studio owner can manage billing, see invoices, invite or remove Team Members, change the studio's branding, and delete the studio account. A Team Member can leave the team at any time and can then delete their own account from Settings.
Clients
Clients do not need an account to open a gallery shared by passcode or public link. On such galleries a Client may also save their picks with just an email address, confirmed through a link we send to that address.
Clients cannot sign up on their own. A Client account is created only when a Photographer invites that person; the Client then signs in with a one-time code or sign-in link sent to their email. A Client can delete their own account at any time from their profile page (My profile).
Photographers are responsible for sharing passcodes and links only with their intended Clients and for managing who has access.
04Trial, Plans & Billing
Free trial
New studio accounts start with a 30-day free trial with the features of the Studio plan. No payment card is needed. During the trial you can have up to 5 active galleries and 1 GB of final files; proofing photos are subject to a fair-use cap of 5 GB.
The trial never turns into a paid subscription by itself. When it ends, the studio becomes read-only unless you choose a plan, and the timeline in Section 8 applies. There is no permanent free tier.
Plans
Current plans and prices (monthly / annual), shown excluding VAT and, in brackets, including 27% Hungarian VAT:
- Solo — 100 GB of storage; €7.87 / €78.74 excl. VAT (€9.99 / €100 incl. VAT).
- Studio — 200 GB of storage; €14.96 / €149.61 excl. VAT (€19 / €190 incl. VAT).
- Agency — 400 GB of storage; €29.92 / €299.21 excl. VAT (€38 / €380 incl. VAT).
- Storage add-on (Studio and Agency only) — 100 GB each, up to 50; €9.45 / €94.49 excl. VAT (€12 / €120 incl. VAT), billed on the same interval as your plan.
Storage is shared across all of the studio's galleries. Uploads that would take the studio over its limit are refused. The full feature comparison is at photoshr.com/pricing.
Prices & VAT
Prices are set in euros (EUR) and are net of VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout from the billing address and VAT number you give:
- Consumers pay 27% Hungarian VAT on top of the net price. The pricing page shows this VAT-inclusive price.
- Businesses in the EU with a valid VAT number pay the net price and are invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism.
- Customers outside the EU pay the net price.
Billing & invoices
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis, monthly or annually. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. An invoice is issued for every payment through Billingo, our invoicing provider, which emails it to you; the studio owner can also see invoices in the app.
Changing plans
- Upgrades (a higher plan, or monthly to annual) take effect immediately. You are charged the prorated difference for the rest of the current period straight away.
- Downgrades (a lower plan, or annual to monthly) take effect at the end of the current billing period. Moving to Solo removes any storage add-ons, as Solo does not include them.
Pausing
Instead of cancelling, the studio owner can pause the subscription. While it is paused you are not charged, your galleries and photos are kept and are not scheduled for deletion, and you can resume at any time. Plan features are not available until you resume.
Cancellation
Only the studio owner can cancel, from the billing page in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your plan until then. You can undo a scheduled cancellation before that date. We do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
Deleting the studio account (Section 8) ends the subscription immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, you keep your plan for 14 days from the first failed charge while the payment is retried. If it is still unpaid after that, access ends and the timeline in Section 8 applies.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Emails about your account
We send the emails needed to run your account — sign-in codes, password resets, invitations, payment and invoice emails, and warnings before any deletion — whenever they apply. We also send onboarding tips and emails about your trial; each of these carries an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in your email settings. Product news and win-back emails after a trial are sent only if you have opted in (the box is unticked by default), and you can withdraw that at any time with the link in each email or in your settings.
05Photographer Obligations
As a Photographer using PhotoShr, you agree to:
- Upload only Content for which you hold the necessary rights, licenses, and consents (including model releases where applicable).
- Ensure that sharing a gallery with a Client — and publishing galleries on your studio landing page, including letting search engines index it — complies with any agreements you have with that Client.
- Handle the personal data of your Clients that you enter or collect through PhotoShr (such as client records, notes, phone numbers, and their picks) in compliance with applicable data protection law.
- Not misuse the platform to circumvent payment obligations to your Clients or third parties.
- Manage gallery access responsibly and revoke access when no longer needed.
- Ensure your Team Members follow these Terms.
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding photography, image usage, and data protection.
06Client Access, Selection & Delivery
Access
The Photographer decides how each gallery is shared:
- Passcode (the default) — anyone with the link and the passcode can open the gallery. The Photographer can change the passcode at any time, which locks out anyone who only has the old one.
- Invited only — only Clients the Photographer has invited by email, signed in to their account, can open the gallery, and every photo is checked against that sign-in.
- Public — anyone with the link can open the gallery.
The passcode protects the gallery page, not each photo file. In passcode and public galleries, photos are delivered through a content delivery network at long, unguessable addresses. Someone who has opened the gallery can copy a photo's address and share it, and that address keeps working for anyone until the gallery is switched to Invited only or deleted; changing the passcode does not withdraw it. Final deliveries of passcode and invited-only galleries are downloaded through short-lived links. Photographers who need every photo to stay behind sign-in should use Invited only.
On Studio and Agency, the Photographer can also set a date after which the gallery link stops working. Once a gallery has been opened, your browser keeps an access cookie for 30 days so you do not have to re-enter the passcode. The Photographer can revoke access at any time.
Picks & selection
Clients can mark photos as favourites and submit their selection. Picks and submitted selections are visible to the Photographer and their Team Members, who can review and export them.
- Selections serve as non-binding preferences unless otherwise agreed between the Client and Photographer.
- PhotoShr is not party to any agreement between a Photographer and their Client regarding deliverables, timelines, or pricing.
Downloads & delivery
Clients can download the final files the Photographer delivers, by default. The Photographer can require Clients to sign in before downloading the finals ZIP and, on Studio and Agency, can turn downloads off for individual invited Clients. What a Client may do with downloaded or viewed photos is governed by their agreement with the Photographer; Clients must not copy or reuse photos beyond what the Photographer permits.
Leaving
A Client who deletes their account keeps nothing on PhotoShr in their name. The picks they made stay with the Photographer, shown as "Deleted client", so the Photographer's work on the gallery is not lost.
07Intellectual Property
Your Content
Photographers retain full ownership of all photos and Content they upload to PhotoShr. By uploading Content, you grant PhotoShr a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
This license does not permit PhotoShr to sell, sublicense, or use your photos for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Platform Ownership
The PhotoShr name, logo, design, software, and all platform features are the exclusive property of Nagy Attila Mátyás E.V. and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.
08Content, Storage & Deletion
Photos uploaded by Photographers are stored with Cloudflare. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect stored Content, but we do not guarantee against data loss.
- Storage limits apply according to your plan and add-ons (Section 4).
- When a photo is uploaded, the stored copy is cleaned of location and camera metadata (EXIF, XMP, IPTC); the colour profile and orientation are kept. Files inside an uploaded finals ZIP are stored exactly as you uploaded them.
- We reserve the right to remove Content that violates these Terms.
Deleting a gallery
A deleted gallery is taken offline straight away and can be restored for 30 days. After that it is permanently deleted with its photos, selections and files, and cannot be recovered.
When a trial or subscription ends
Access ends when the trial ends, when a cancelled subscription reaches the end of its period, or 14 days after a failed payment (Section 4). From that day:
- Days 0–30: the studio is read-only for you; your Clients' gallery links keep working.
- Days 30–60: the studio is archived and Client links are offline. Your photos are kept.
- After day 60: your galleries and photos are permanently deleted — but only after we have emailed you a warning at least 7 days in advance. If the warning goes out later, deletion waits until 7 days after it. Your account itself and your invoices are kept.
Choosing a plan at any point before deletion restores full access. Until your photos are deleted you can download all of them with "Download all my photos" in your settings. A paused subscription is not on this timeline.
Deleting your account
The studio owner can delete the studio account from Settings at any time. This immediately and permanently deletes all galleries, photos and branding (including galleries still in their restore window), ends the subscription without a refund, and removes the account. Some records are kept afterwards, as described in the Privacy Policy — for example invoices, which the law requires us to keep.
09Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload Content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or violates any third party's rights.
- Share gallery access with unauthorized third parties.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or galleries without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Platform.
- Use the Service for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Platform.
- Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
10Termination
You may terminate your account at any time: studio owners from Settings, Clients from My profile, and Team Members by leaving the team and then deleting their account from Settings. You can also contact us at [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability sections) will remain in effect.
11Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhotoShr and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
For users located in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply and may provide additional rights. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
13Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice.
We record which version of the Terms each account has accepted. When a new version takes effect, Photographers and Team Members are asked to accept it before they continue working in their studio.
